It is a noble idea to learn how to stop your feet from hurting after work. Since your objective of finding out how you prevent your feet from aching after work is a good one, I will provide you with the answers here.

You can do a few basic things if you want to stop your feet from hurting after work.

The first goes without saying, wear proper shoes. Wearing appropriate shoes may seem like common sense and a no-brainer, but it’s essential to wear well-fitted shoes that provide excellent arch support.

After asking several nurses, this is when I came up with a workable solution to reduce foot pain and Here is the summary of how to help sore feet after work:

Exercise:

Finding ways to exercise is good for foot health. Overstressed muscles will tend to contract or spasm. You’ve got to do a few of these simple exercises to reverse this effect. You could wiggle your toes, rotate your ankles and raise and lower yourself using the ball of your feet.

This exercise strengthens the arches and stimulates blood circulation in the foot. Having toned muscles is a side effect of good foot exercise.

Massage your feet:

You can massage your feet for about fifteen or twenty minutes. Having problems doing it yourself, have a friend or a family member massage your feet for you. It not only feels good but is relaxing.

Soak your feet:

Soak your feet in warm water with Epsom salts; the warm water will soothe your feet. Use a warm wet towel and wrap it around your feet, increasing blood flow to the area.

Elevation:

After standing all day at work, your feet may become swollen. To relieve that swelling, you may have to raise your leg above your heart.

Elevate your legs for about fifteen to twenty minutes. You can lie on your sofa and use one of the leg elevation pillows. The foot elevation pillow is perfectly shaped to enable proper leg support.

Wear orthotic insoles:

Wearing orthotic insoles in your shoes can help reduce foot pain. Proper arch support relaxes the entire foot and prevents foot misalignment.

You can wear this in your boot at work. Work shoes should also provide good arch support and helps reduce weakness and soreness in the legs and feet.

Is it normal for your feet to hurt after work?

Yes. It is usual for your feet to hurt after standing for an extended period without taking adequate rest to relieve your legs of the pressure caused by carrying your body weight.

Without proper foot support, you may develop poor posture causing misalignment of the joints leading to ankle, knee or back pain.

Wearing boots with proper foot support is the solution to this problem. Boot not correctly fitted may cause bunions, calluses or plantar fasciitis.

Why do my feet hurt so bad after standing?

If your feet hurt bad, it could be something a bit more sinister, like plantar fasciitis. If you have plantar fasciitis, you will feel pain in the bottom of the foot, especially when standing, walking or running.

The pain can span between the ball of your feet and the heel. The pain is typically more severe at the arch of your feet.

What does standing all day do to your body?

Standing up continually over prolonged periods can result in inflammation of the veins. Chronic inflammation may progress to painful varicose veins.
